The fourth regional meeting of SHAMCI Network was held and was attended by 45 participants from ten different countries, including experts and industrialists and representatives from a range of regional and international organizations. The meeting ended with the adoption of both the Sudan and Lebanon to SHAMCI sign officially.
The aim of the network meeting was to examine the readiness of quality authorities to of the application of SHAMCI program. In addition to that, it was agreed during the network meeting, to prepare a future action plan for the concerned institutions through issuing seven important decisions, including the decision to accept the membership of 16 new associates from private and public sectors, and also the formation of four committees which have been tasked with working on all regulatory and legal matters between SHAMCI secretariat and network on one hand, and the certification bodies and testing laboratories on the other hand.
